Despite the existing challenges the health cluster partners managed to reach around 1.8 M people from 15 April to 31 December with around 241 K during the month of December.

The humanitarian community in Sudan launched the 2024 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan (HNRP) to address the most urgent and critical needs of 14.7 million people in Sudan that have been displaced and affected by the conflict that erupted in April 2023. This includes people newly displaced, some of whom were already living in protracted displacement, refugees that found shelter and assistance in Sudan, and host communities that have generously taken in millions of displaced people from conflict-affected areas.

In 2024 Health Cluster aims to provide lifesaving humanitarian assistance and health service support to 4.9 million people, representing 33% of the total people in need (14.7 million). Health partners will address the specific needs of vulnerable groups through provision of specialized health services in MHPPS, SRH and Trauma.
