Update on Refugee Movements
Context – Cross-Border Movements into Chad
Since the latest attack in El Fasher at the end of October, 11,431 new arrivals from 4,342 families have been registered in Chad, bringing the total number of newly registered refugees to 171,120 individuals (53,890 families).
Distribution by Entry Points:
• 61% (6,968 individuals / 2,360 families) entered through Oure Cassoni – Bahai and Kariari (Ennedi Est).
• 30% (3,336 individuals / 1,461 families) crossed via Tiné (Wadi Fira).
• 10% (1,127 individuals / 521 families) arrived through Adré and Adikong (Ouaddaï).
Profile of New Arrivals on 30 November 2025
On 30 November, 346 individuals (126 families) were registered at entry points, of which
• 83% (288 individuals / 105 families) were at Oure Cassoni (Ennedi East) and
• 17% (52 individuals /19 families) in Tine (Wadi Fira).
The new arrivals mainly belong to the Zaghawa, Arab, Mararit, Tondjour, Berti and Fur ethnic groups. Fifteen (15) percent individuals with specific needs have been identified.
In sum, they originate mainly from Berdick (50% families), El Fasher (25%), Ambaru (10%), Abgamra (5%), Nyala (4%) Kornoi (3%), and 3% other localities.
