Federal Foreign Office increases humanitarian aid for flood victims in Africa to 430,000 euro

The Federal Foreign Office has increased its humanitarian aid in the African countries affected by the flood disaster to 430,000 euro.

In view of the dramatic worsening of the situation, a further 300,000 euro was today made available to relief organizations for emergency aid measures in Uganda and Mali. These funds are to be used to provide people in need with blankets, tarpaulins, mosquito nets and other necessities.

In recent weeks the Federal Foreign Office has already pledged 130,000 euro to procure emergency articles and food for the flood victims in Sudan and Ghana.
