DTM Sudan's Early Warning Flash Alerts provide immediate updates on incidents and sudden displacement in Sudan.

On 8 December 2024, an estimated 357 households were displaced from Abu Gawi and Um Khairin villages of Um Rawaba locality, North Kordofan. The displacement occurred due to increased security concerns and an eruption of clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) across the locality. Field teams reported that households were primarily displaced to other locations within Um Rawaba locality. The situation remains tense and unpredictable. DTM will continue to monitor the developments closely and will provide regular updates on displacement and population mobility across Sudan. The latest DTM Sudan report is available here.
