On 18 December 2024, heavy rain and floods across Geziret Aba village of Rabak locality, White Nile reportedly displaced 40 households. The floods primarily displaced households from four schools which were serving as shelter sites for IDPs, as well as the Hamar, Zaghawa, Al Rahmaniya, and Ard Al Sherifa neighbourhoods. Field teams reported that displaced households sought shelter with host communities within the same locality.
