DTM Sudan's Early Warning Flash Alerts provide immediate updates on incidents and sudden displacement in Sudan.
On 20 June 2024, inter-communal clashes renewed between Salamat and Habaniya tribesmen in Samasim village of Al Radoum locality, South Darfur. These clashes follow a previously reported incident between the two tribes within Al Radoum locality on 13 January 2024. Field teams reported widespread displacement from the village to other locations within Al Radoum locality. DTM is yet to receive estimates on the number of displaced individuals. There were also reports of injuries among civilians. The situation remains tense and unpredictable. DTM will continue to monitor the developments closely and will provide regular updates on displacement and population mobility across Sudan. The latest DTM Sudan report is available here.
