On 5 January 2025, an estimated 89 households were displaced from Mastura area and the surrounding villages of Kulbus locality, West Darfur. The displacement reportedly occurred due to airstrikes across the locality. Households were displaced from the villages of Korna, Abu Shejaira, Um Sayala, and Shendi to locations across the border to Chad. The situation remains tense and unpredictable.
