On 6 and 7 December 2024, an estimated 739 households were displaced from Zamzam IDP camp in Al Fasher locality, North Darfur. The displacement reportedly occurred due to increased security concerns following reported shelling on the camp. Field teams reported that households were primarily displaced to other locations within Tawila and Dar As Salam localities, North Darfur.
The situation remains tense and unpredictable. DTM will continue to monitor the developments closely and will provide regular updates on displacement and population mobility across Sudan.
