On 24 and 25 January 2025, an estimated 250 households were displaced from Al Fasher town in Al Fasher locality, North Darfur due to intensified clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Juba Peace Agreement Forces (JPA Forces), and Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Clashes followed reported attacks by RSF across nearly all neighbourhoods of Al Fasher Town, including Abu Shock IDP camp and Saudi hospital. Field teams reported that households were displaced to other locations within Al Fasher locality.
There were also reports of deaths and injuries among civilians. The situation remains tense and unpredictable.
