DTM Sudan Flash Alert: Conflict in Al Fasher (Al Fasher town), North Darfur (Update 072), 04 February 2025

DTM Sudan's Early Warning Flash Alerts provide immediate updates on incidents and sudden displacement in Sudan.

On 2 February 2025, an estimated 70 households were displaced from Al Fasher town in Al Fasher locality, North Darfur due to intensified clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Juba Peace Agreement Forces (JPA Forces), and Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The clashes primarily impacted eastern neighbourhoods in Al Fasher town. Field teams reported that households were displaced to other locations within Al Fasher locality.

The situation remains tense and unpredictable. DTM will continue to monitor the developments closely and will provide regular updates on displacement and population mobility across Sudan.
