Between 18 and 21 June 2025, DTM field teams estimated that 253 households were displaced from Abu Shouk IDP camp and Al Fasher town, Al Fasher locality due to heightened insecurity and deteriorating economic conditions. Households were reportedly displaced to other locations within Al Fasher locality, as well as to locations across As Serief and Tawila localities in North Darfur. The situation remains tense and highly fluid. DTM will continue to monitor the developments closely and will provide further information on displacement and population mobility across Sudan.
