As of 4 November 2025, DTM estimates that 81,817 individuals were displaced from Al Fasher town and surrounding villages in North Darfur since 26 October 2025. These figures are preliminary and subject to change due to ongoing insecurity and rapidly evolving displacement dynamics.
The majority of displaced individuals remain within Al Fasher locality, while a smaller proportion were displaced to Kebkabiya, Melit, Kutum and Tawila localities in North Darfur. Smaller numbers were also recorded across other states in Sudan, including Kosti locality in White Nile; Wasat Jabal Marra, and Shamal Jabal Marra localities in Central Darfur; Ag Geneina and Kulbus localities in West Darfur; Shia'ria locality in East Darfur; Sharg Aj Jabal and Al Wihda localities in South Darfur; and Ghubaish locality in West Kordofan.
Field teams reported high insecurity along routes, which may restrict mobility. The situation remains tense and highly fluid, with ongoing insecurity and continuous population movements. DTM will continue to monitor the developments closely and will provide further information on displacement and population mobility across Sudan. The previous update on displacement from Al Fasher is available here and the latest DTM Sudan report is available here.
