Sudan has suffered a series of crises, including floods, political turmoil, internal conflicts, and economic inflation, leading to widespread citizen suffering and a significant increase in poverty. On April 15, 2023, armed conflict blows up in several Sudanese state (Khartoum State - Al Jazirah - Darfur - North Kordofan), requiring urgent humanitarian aid for approximately 25 million people. Over 6.8 million individuals were displaced, seeking safety and shelter.
Direct Aid promptly stepped in at the crisis onset in mid-April 2023, launching diverse relief projects focused on both kidney patients in Sudan and a significant number of displaced and affected individuals. In collaboration with the Kuwaiti Patients Helping Fund Society, aid totaling approximately 1 million USD has been disbursed, with an additional relief project of another 1 million USD in the pipeline. Food baskets delivering is not just sustenance but hope, food baskets and mosquito nets have distributed to combat malnutrition diseases and alleviating the economic, psychological, and social burdens borne by those affected by armed conflict. Additionally, mosquito nets have been provided to ward off malaria and dengue fever. The impact has touched the lives of approximately 14 thousand beneficiaries.

Field clinics for three months, our field clinics stand as a bulwark against the tide of communicable diseases, curbing the spread and averting untimely deaths. Within these clinics, medical and laboratory examinations, medication provision, health awareness campaigns, and comprehensive care in nutrition and reproductive health as well as critical cases were elevated to higher levels. The embrace of our efforts reached 1,200 affected individuals.

Control of diseases vectors for two months, a strategic battle waged against mosquito and fly-borne epidemics like malaria, cholera, and hemorrhagic fevers, relieving the healthcare system's burden. Our arsenal included thorough entomological surveys, home inspections, and targeted spraying using advanced machines. More than 400,000 people have benefited from our efforts to curb the menace of disease vectors.

Fixing environment and water, our endeavors seek to mitigate the outbreaks of food and waterborne epidemics like cholera, typhoid, and dysentery. Beyond disease control, our mission is to enhance the overall environmental well-being. A ripple effect of positive change has touched the lives of around 96 thousand affected individuals.
In the ongoing of Sudan's challenges, the call for relief resonates loudly, echoing the need for fundamental necessities such as tents, pillows, blankets, and the basics of sustenance. The demand extends to essential supplies: food, hygiene materials, medical provisions, and clean drinking water. Moreover, the increasing displacement, notably in states such as (Sennar, Gedaref, Kassala, and Blue Nile), emphasizes the need for psychological support, particularly for vulnerable children and mothers.
