The Child Protection Area of Responsibility (CP AoR) Sudan – Indicators Guidance 2025 is a comprehensive technical resource designed to clarify the use of 5Ws and ActivityInfo, periodic reporting tool for Child Protection AoR in Sudan for the year 2025. It provides a consolidated reference for monitoring the progress of implemented Child Protection activities in line with the 2025 Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) and Child Protection Results Framework. This document ensures and helps the partners to apply minimum reporting standards for quality data collection, enabling comparability, aggregation, and meaningful analysis across the response.

Child Protection indicators track the status of progress against planned activities and outputs within the HRP framework. They are essential for results-based accountability and serve as a common framework for assessing progress across all Child Protection interventions. The indicators and definitions included in this guidance have been standardized to ensure alignment with the CP AoR strategy, the 2025 HRP, and global standards such as the CPMS. All CP partners are strongly encouraged to use these indicators guidance for activity planning, monitoring, and for reporting the monthly 5Ws and Activityinfo, thereby promoting harmonized and effective humanitarian action for children in Sudan.

The guidance includes activity descriptions, guidance on reporting requirements including, units of measurement, disaggregation requirements (e.g., by sex, age, and disability), and examples for each CP intervention. In addition to detailed guidance for ensuring data quality, avoiding duplication, and applying standardized criteria for counting.
