Insecurity Insight identified 469 incidents of violence against or obstruction of health care in Sudan since fighting started between Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in April 2023 and 30 September 2024. At least 110 health workers have been killed, 76 injured and six kidnapped. Health facilities have been damaged 122 times

02 November 2024: In El Fasher city, North Darfur state, the MSF-supported Saudi Obstetrics and Gynaecology Hospital was hit by RSF shelling during a wider attack on the city. A doctor was also reportedly arrested. Sources: ACLED1**,** Al Rakoba, Al Quds and Medameek
02 November 2024: In Sharg Al Jazirah locality, Al Jazirah state, Al-Tandub Hospital was looted by the RSF. Medical equipment, solar panels, and the central hospital generator estimated at more than 150 billion Sudanese pounds were taken. As reported on 03 November 2024: In eastern Al Jazirah state, six hospitals were attacked by the RSF, further straining the already limited capacity of the population to access health care, especially for surgical and obstetric care. 05 November 2024: In Khartoum city and state, a doctor was arrested at his home in the evening by the RSF and taken to an unknown location. Source: Sudan Doctors Network
As reported on 07 November 2024: In Al Hilaliya city, Al Jazirah state, the kidney dialysis centre at Al-Hilaliya Hospital was looted and destroyed during an attack on the area by the RSF. Health workers were prevented from treating the injured, nurses were threatened with being killed and a complete blockade on the area was enforced. As reported on 09 November 2024: In Khartoum city and state, Um Dawan Ban Hospital, which was receiving thousands of displaced from Al Jazirah state, faced closure due to the lack of medical supplies amidst the spread of the cholera epidemic. Source: Sudan Violations

11 November 2024: In the Al-Kalakla neighbourhood, Khartoum city and state, after a 30-day suspension period, MSF partly re-engaged its support of the medical and administrative operations at the Al Shaheed Widatalla Primary Healthcare Centre (PHCC). Source: MSF
