Alight has delivered humanitarian assistance in Sudan for more than two decades, supporting conflict - affected and displaced communities with integrated health and nutrition services . Our nutrition programming follows the Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) approach, ensuring early detection, timely treatment, and community - based prevention of malnutrition among children under five and pregnant and lactating women.
Alight currently supports 86 nutrition service delivery sites across Sudan, specifically in Aj Jazirah, Gedaref , South Darfur, East Darfur, North Darfur, and West Kordofan, ensuring wide access to lifesaving treatment for malnutrition . The majority of these sites provide Outpatient Therapeutic Program (OTP) services, with 45 sites operating as standalone OTP facilities and 34 sites offering integrated OTP and Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program (TSFP) services . In addition, two facilities provide the full continuum of care, including OTP, TSFP, and Stabilization Center (SC) services for managing severe acute malnutrition with medical complications . A further five sites operate as standalone TSFP facilities, focusing on treating moderate acute malnutrition .
This network enables Alight to deliver comprehensive Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) services across multiple levels of care, ensuring timely identification, referral, and treatment for vulnerable children and mothers .
