The Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS) has announced that air travel between south Sudan and Uganda has resumed following security threats. South Sudan Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Luka Biong, told Miraya FM that GoSS has taken necessary security measures, in coordination with the Government of National Unity (GoNU), to counter any terrorist threats. The United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) in Juba reportedly received information confirming a security threat on a Ugandan Airlines flight that links Juba with Entebbe.

All UN employees have been cautioned against traveling on that flight route until further notice.
