ACTED covers basic necessities in Jamam refugee camp

JUBA [ACTED News] – ACTED, in partnership with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), has been distributing non-food item kits in Jamam refugee camp, in South Soudan’s Upper Nile State. After three days of distribution, 2,949 households (13,054 beneficiaries) were reached. These kits included mosquito nets, blankets, sleeping mats, and kitchen sets. ACTED expects to complement this activity with other services for refugees, including tent setup, community mobilization and support for vulnerable groups.

In partnership with UNHCR, ACTED is managing Jamam refugee camp and is contributing to the provision of shelter, non-food items and basic necessities to families. Refugees have fled to Jamam following the outbreak of conflict in Sudan’s Blue Nile State.
