(Joint ACT International - Caritas Internationalis Appeal)
Geneva, 16 March 2000
Dear Colleagues,
While the intervention by ACT and Caritas network members in Bahr el Ghazal has helped to control the worst emergency situation, the need to continue with emergency operations is imperative, in light of the immense needs that still prevail.
The following proposal (covering 1 January 2000 - 31 December 2000) from Church Ecumenical Action in Sudan (CEAS) in partnership with the New Sudan Council of Churches (NSCC) and Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is thus a continuation of AFSD84 which ended in December 1999.
The program components and financial status of the Appeal are as follows:
- Primary Health Care
- Water & Sanitation
- Agriculture
- Education
- Emergency Preparedness
