- Heavy rainfall affected again Sri Lanka over the past couple of days, with 90 mm recorded near Ratnapura, Sabaragamuwa province, and 57 mm in Kandy, Central province, within 24 h (29-30 November).
- The Northern province, heavily impacted by floods in mid-November, continues experiencing floods, with over 1 100 people affected in Killlinochchi district, according to the disaster management authorities, as of 1 December.
- Very heavy rainfall of more than 150mm in places, as well as strong winds, are forecast for 1-2 December in the country and the national meteorological service has issued a severe weather advisory.
