Highlights

• WHO trained 123 health care workers on Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response’s (IDSR) 3rd edition, COVID-19 Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT), infectious disease specimen collection and transportation, infection prevention and control and healthcare waste.

• 268 cholera cases have been reported, of which 43 were cholera RDT positive, with 29 testing culture positive at the National Reference Laboratory in Juba.

• WHO has delivered stocks of emergency medical supplies including trauma and surgery kits to Kapoeta North and Napak Payam in Budi County in Eastern Equatoria to ensure continued provision of much needed healthcare to over 70 casualties of inter-communal clashes in the area in July.

• WHO has deployed the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)team to Duk County in Jonglei and Koch County in Unity State to conduct water quality assessment.
