Highlights

▪ Emergency response: WHO continues to provide integrated mobile medical services in Pibor, Akobo, Duk, Sirimon and Kuda.

▪ Outbreak: Measles outbreak has been confirmed in Torit (43 cases) and Maban (149 cases) Counties, including Doro Refugee Camp in Maban County.

▪ Oral cholera vaccination: 173170 (86%) people were vaccinated during the first round. The second round of the campaign is planned to kick off on 14 March 2022.

▪ Hepatitis E Virus (HEV): WHO trained 90 health care workers on HEV case management; 60 hygiene promoters, boma health teams and facility health care workers were trained on HEV community-based surveillance in Bentiu and Rubkona Counties of Unity State.

▪ The first round of the Hepatitis E virus vaccination campaign targeting 27 000 people will occur at the end of March 2022.
