HIGHLIGHTS

  • In June, WFP distributed 20,732 mt of food and USD 3.53 million in cash-based transfers to 1.95 million people, representing 70 percent of the people targeted during the month. Between January and June, WFP had assisted 3.2 million people.
  • The escalating violent clashes in Upper Nile and Jonglei States had displaced over 165,000 people and hampered humanitarian access to the affected populations. Critical needs include food, water, health, nutrition, sanitation and hygiene.
  • WFP faces a USD 222 million funding shortfall between July and December 2025 against its operational plan. Needs include the food and nutrition requirements of crisis-affected people, prepositioning as rains intensify and other logistical support services.
