Highlights

  • As of 28 February, 34,688 cholera cases and 583 associated deaths have been reported in 39 Counties of 9 States and 1 Administrative Area.
  • As of 28 February, 1,082,592 individuals including 539,009 children have entered South Sudan fleeing the conflict in Sudan with 73 percent entering through Wunthow (Juda) border crossing in Renk County in Upper Nile State.
  • Malnutrition remains a significant concern. Between July 2024 and June 2025, an estimated 2.1 million children under five and 1.11 million pregnant or breastfeeding women are projected to suffer from acute malnutrition; a 20.4 percent increase compared to 2023. Of these, 650,000 children will require treatment for Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), while 1.43 million children will need support for Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM).
  • As of 28 February 2025, the Humanitarian Action or Children (HAC) is funded at 19 per cent out of the $278.2 million financial requirements.
