The IRNA initiated by OCHA through CARE and LWF was successfully completed collectively in a participatory manner with 28 inter-cluster members from different agencies within Twic East County. Twic East County is a located at the northern part of Jonglei State neighboring Duk in the North and Bor County as well in the south. Twic East County is comprised of five payams with the total population figure of 130,069 individuals thus breakdown into payams of Lith with 16.389 (8,542m & 7,8471), Kongor with 33.818(17,625m &16,1921), Nyuak with 32,127 (16,745m & 15.3821). Ajuong with 22.502(11.728 &10.774f) and Pakeer with 25,233 (13152 & 12,081) respectively, however the population for 2021 is not clearly trace besides this information was verified by RRC and Local authorities in 2020. Twic East County is mainly predominantly occupied by Dinka ethnic group. and a few communities from Duk county. Following global climate change. the flood devastated in 2020 in the Country, Jong lei state became one of the most affected regions with thousands of people displaced to different locations. Some people fled to Mingkaman in Awerial county, Mangala in Rajap County and Bor county as headquarter of the state. Currently there are an estimated number (58,069 individuals) with 20.324 individuals from host community, 31,938 IDPs and 5,807 returnees without disaggregation on gender and age. Given the peace talk between Jonglei arm youth and GPAA youth on barbaric attacks in 2020 that claim life of innocent souls, they reached ceasefire agreement hence relative calmness on security status of this location though still unpredictable. The last incident happened on 19' February 2021 where someone was slaughtered by unknown people at the fishing site while visiting his fishing net in the morning. The revitalized peace agreement initiated by the government with Opposition parties in 2018 between the South Sudan Government and the main Opposition groups has stabilized security situation in the region and other parts of the country at large.
