Situation overview

This interagency rapid assessment was caried out in response to request for intervention by the juba county SSRRC coordinator, following reports of displacement of population in Sirimon boma of Dollo Payam in juba county. The request was sent to OCHA in the first week on 02/02/2022.

Sirimon is a Boma located along the Juba- Mundri Road, within Dollo Payam of Juba County. It is about 65 Km (2 hours’ drive) away from Juba City. Dollo consists of 7 Bomas in total, of which population from 4 Bomas, namely: Tulyang, Gumbiri, Roja and Mogiri has been displaced to Sirimon boma. According to the community chiefs 4,914 persons are displaced into Sirimon beginning from 26/01/2022. The arrival is reportedly continuing as some of the people first fled to the bushes for safety and are now finding their way to Sirimon. Its takes at least twelve hours to walk from the affected villages to Sirimon. There is urgent need for assistance with food and nutrition supplements, shelter and essential NFIs, repair of water pumps and provision of medicine to the PHCU in Sirimon.
