Background
South Sudan continues to face a prolonged humanitarian crisis driven by conflict, climate shocks, disease outbreaks, displacement from the Sudan conflict, and economic decline. Seasonal flooding and multiple concurrent emergencies including cholera, intercommunal violence, hyperinflation, and food insecurity severely restrict humanitarian access and response capacity. In this context, the WFP-led Logistics Cluster plays a vital enabling role by coordinating logistics services, sharing access information, capacity building through tailored trainings and providing last-resort air transport and warehousing support to ensure assistance reaches hard-to-access and high-priority communities.
