From 1st of January 2021 to 30th September 2021 a total of 14,460 individuals have been registered by the Government and UNHCR. From the gure 5,830 are new arrivals while 8,630 are newborn babies. During the same period in 2020, a total of 8,516 individuals were registered of which 2,121 were New Arrivals and 6,392 were Newborn babies. This represents a 64 per cent increase for new arrivals and a 26 per cent increase in newborn babies when compared to the same period last year.
In September 2021 alone a total of 854 New arrivals have been registered of which 505 are new arrivals from Sudan, 182 from DRC, 52 from Burundi, 46 from the Central African Republic, 35 from Eritrea, 15 from Ethiopia, and 19 other of concern. 1,674 New Born babies have also been registered in September 2021 with the majority of 1,582 individuals from Sudan, and 92 from various countries
