Highlights

• Completeness for weekly reporting was 42% for the non-conflict affected states and 68% for the IDP sites.
• New measles outbreaks confirmed in Malakal PoC, Yirol West, and Aweil North counties.
• 48 cases including 10 deaths of suspect VHF reported in Aweil North and Aweil West Counties with 24 December 2015 as the earliest date of onset.
• ARI is the leading cause of morbidity in IDPs.
• TB/HIV/AIDS is the most common causes of mortality.

Special focus on measles

• New measles outbreaks confirmed in Malakal PoC, Yirol West, and Aweil North counties (Table 4.1).
• New suspect measles case reported by Bor state hospital.
• Seven new measles confirmed cases reported in Abyei.
• 17 new suspect measles cases reported from seven counties in five states (Table 4.1).
• Plans are underway to conduct measles vaccinations campaign in Malakal PoC, Aweil North, and Yirol West counties.
