Key Highlights
Enhancing Health Access and Strengthening Responsiveness:
- From January to December 2024, 5.3 million outpatient consultations were provided for essential health services.
- During this period, skilled birth attendants supported about 54,000 normal deliveries.
Preventing, Detecting and Responding to Epidemic Prone Disease Outbreaks:
- As of the end of December 2024, a cumulative total of 26,218 reported cases and 446 deaths were recorded, with an overall case fatality rate (CFR) of 1.7%. The outbreak has affected 32 counties in seven states and one administrative area.
- Oral Cholera Vaccination was carried out in three counties, immunizing a total of 96,222 individuals during the week, bringing the cumulative number of people vaccinated since the outbreak began to 1,241,401.
- In week 4 of 2025, a total of 81,085 malaria cases were reported, including 30 related deaths. The number of malaria cases increased by 0.4% in week 4 compared to week 3, and by 6% compared to the same period last year.
Providing Quality Essential Clinical Health Services:
- Between January and December 2024, stabilization centers treated over 14,000 children suffering from severe acute malnutrition with complications.
- During the same period, around 252 survivors of sexual and gender-based violence received clinical management of rape services.
Improving Resilience – Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MPHSS):
- As of December 2024, approximately 8,600 individuals in conflict-affected areas received mental health and psychosocial support services.
