MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS THIS MONTH

  • FSL cluster reached around 966,592 people with Food overall in South Sudan, including 484,223 people in hard to reach areas and 482,369 people in conflict areas. Over all achievement in comparison to the Implementation plan is around 70% and food Distributions have been completed in Jazera, Mathiang in Unity State.

  • FSL partners’ teams are currently on the ground in Kuach (Unity) to conduct registrations and distributions of food.

  • Airdrops continuing in Nyal, Ganylel & in Dablual (Unity).
    Also FSLC partners’ team in Kauch (Unity) has conducted registrations and distributions of food.

  • No-Cost Extension request of an INGO CHF project was technically reviewed to endorse extensions based on justification.

  • A technician is deployed at Warrap to conduct installations & maintenance on cold chain facilities for vaccines.

  • Training is launched for Community Based Animal Health Workers in Nimule, Eastern Equatoria State which focused on disease identification and prevention activities.

  • FSL Cluster partners have deployed teams around the entire country to perform the 15th round of the FSMNS (Food Security and Nutrition Monitoring System)

  • FSL Cluster partner conducted an extensive training for field monitors on Monitoring & Evaluation in an effort to further strengthen Accountability to Affected People (AAP) during the emergency distribution campaign.

  • Hundreds of thousands of emergency livelihood kit inputs have been received in the Juba warehouse week and plans are rapidly underway for distribution into the hubs and to partners.

  • FSL cluster area coordinators are leading on FSNMS in deep field location by collecting data and training partners on data collection
