1. INTRODUCTION

Effective humanitarian information management is a cornerstone for the Education Cluster, aiming to empower stakeholders with data-driven insights, foster collaboration, and enhance outcomes in HRP response. The South Sudan Education Cluster is dedicated to ensuring effective coordination and leadership to deliver timely and efficient Humanitarian response plan (HRP) and Multiyear resilience program (MYRP). At present, the Cluster plays a crucial role in providing coordination support to its members, including national and sub national Education cluster partners comprising, UN agencies, national and international humanitarian organizations who have an operational presence in South Sudan and active cluster membership. By implementing strong information management practices, ensuring data quality and security, the cluster strives to optimize its operations and offer quality information services to partners and the broader humanitarian community.

The IM strategy is essential for guiding the collection, analysis, and sharing of critical information necessary for informed, evidence-based, and strategic decision-making. The strategy explicitly delineates processes related to data collection, management, visualization, analysis, and dissemination among the various actors involved as well as the frequency. This strategic approach to IM is not only pivotal for the current operations of the Cluster but is also geared to provide ongoing IM support to current and future Humanitarian Response Plans.
