General Overview

  • Reporting completeness remains at 65% while timeliness improved from 53% to 56% during week 20 as compared to week 19.

  • Malaria, Acute respiratory infection (ARI), and Acute Watery Diarrhoea (AWD) continued to account for the highest disease risk in the IDP camps in week 20.

  • Seven Hepatitis E Virus cases were confirmed in Mingkaman, Awerial since 16 March 2014.

  • A comprehensive sanitation and hygiene promotion campaign should be rolled out to all the IDP camps to prevent HEV and cholera transmission.
