General Overview

  • Completeness for weekly reporting in week 14 of 2015 was 91% compared to 73% for the corresponding week of 2014.

  • ARI, malaria, AWD, ABD and suspect measles are the top causes of morbidity among IDPs.

  • During week 14 of 2015, ARI was the top cause of morbidity among IDPs and registered a proportionate morbidity of 17.4% and incidence of 46 cases per 10,000 population.

  • Fourty four new suspect measles cases were reported from Bentiu (42 cases) and Duk (2 case). A vaccination campaign has been completed in response to the measles outbreak in Bentiu PoC. At least 132 measles cases have been reported in Bentiu PoC since week 1 of 2015.

  • In week 14, three new HEV cases including one death were reported from Bentiu while Mingkaman reported one case. Hence the cumulative for HEV is 49 cases including one death (CFR 2%) in Bentiu and 141 cases including six deaths (CFR 4.3%) in Mingkaman.

  • The under-5 and crude mortality rates by IDP site were below the emergency threshold in week 14 of 2015.
