Overview
This South Sudan WHO Country Cooperation Strategy (CCS) 2022–2026, presents a framework through which WHO will work with all stakeholders towards achieving sustainable development goals in South Sudan, as outlined in the National Development Strategy 20182023 and the National Health Policy 2016–2026 (NHP). This CCS outlines the strategic agenda and priorities for addressing the health and development challenges in South Sudan, based on WHO’s comparative advantage, while leveraging resources and partnerships.
The four strategic priorities of the CCS that are aligned to, as well as support the achievement of the Thirteenth General Programme of Work (GPW 13) and NHP 20162026 priorities, are (1) accelerating progress towards UHC; (2) strengthening health security; (3) improving health and well-being; and (4) strengthening HIS capacity.
