Key Weekly Highlights as of 15 February 2026
• In the past week, 128 new suspected cases and 4 deaths (CFR: 3.1%) were reported across 4 counties.
• In the last 14 days of reporting (onset from 02 February 2026 to 15 February 2026), 347 new cases and 13 deaths (CFR: 3.7%) were reported in 7 counties. Most of these cases came from Duk (189, 54.5%), Ayod (64, 18.4%), Mayendit (41, 11.8%) and Mayom (33, 9.5%).
• From 28 September 2024 to 15 February 2026, 98,372 cases, including 1,624 deaths have been reported in 55 counties, across 9 states and all three administrative areas (i.e., Abyei, Ruweng and Greater Pibor).
• Of the 1,624 deaths, 825 (about 51%) occurred in health facilities, while the rest were community deaths. The overall case fatality rate (CFR) is 1.7%, while the health facility CFR is 0.8%.
• Unity State continue to account for the highest burden of cholera cases at 32% (31,393) followed by Jonglei State at 14% (13,763) and Central Equatorial State at 13% (12,777) of the cumulative cases.
• Twenty-five (25) counties including all 10 counties in Western Equatoria remain unaffected by the current cholera outbreak.
• The age group with highest case count is 0-4 years (24%) followed by those aged 5-14 years (22%).
• A total A total of 329,01 individuals in 14 counties were vaccinated through the mop-up vaccination as part of the 30-Day Cholera Knockout Plan
