National CCCM Cluster

National CCCM Cluster coordination team members went on a support visit to CCCM partners in Wau, to allow for introductions of new coordinators and gain deeper understanding of ongoing work in the region.

Wau

PoCAA: CCCM achieved an important milestone in improving living conditions in the POC through the completion of a decongestion strategy which saw 7,874 households relocated.

Collective Centers: As part of improving sanitation in Cathedral collective center, CCCM relocated 13 households to create space for construction of latrines.

Bentiu

PoC: In order to enhance the skillsets and understanding of CCCM amongst partners and active POC stakeholders including RRP and UNMISS, camp management conducted training for 14 individuals with topics ranging from coordination to specific roles and responsibilities.

Collective Sites: Camp management provided training to community leaders on CCCM and self-governance in an effort to enhance capacities and implement a community-based approach to site management.

Malakal PoC

To enhance fires safety measure during dry season within PoC,
CCCM in collaboration with UNMISS security section facilitated training on firefighting technique using a fire extinguisher for Fire committee attended by 40 participants.

UN House PoC

As a major milestone in the re-establishment of CCCM operations in the PoC, camp management completed construction of 67 bridges and erected 673-meter perimeter fencing to improve protection of the population in the site.

Camp management also conducted training for the Camp Management Committee on TORs which was attended by 70 participants.

Bor PoC

In responding to a voluntary return of IDPs to Fangak, Akobo and Nasir, CCCM coordinated with protection cluster to mobilize the community with 57 individuals currently registered.

Aburoc

In an effort to enhance and ensure effective complaint’s and feedback mechanisms in the site, camp management conducted training for staff on community outreach, relevant referral mechanisms and objective CFM management.
