Qatar Charity Sends Relief Convoy to Refugees in South Sudan

Qatar Charity has sent a relief convoy comprising food, non-food items and medical supplies to refugees in South Sudan worth QAR400,000 (USD 110,000). The convoy benefited nearly 10,000 refugees in the mountainous area of White Nile state.

The project was carried out after a detailed field survey was conducted in coordination with the relevant authorities. The relief convoy consisted of 31 tons of food as well as 1400 mattresses, 1400 blankets and 14,000 tarpaulin sheets. The convoy also opened a medical clinic, which will benefit around 1,000 patients with services including a general check-up, distribution of medicines, laboratory analysis and follow-up for critical cases.
