Malakal Humanitarian Information Needs: Community Voices Bulletin, June 2024 / Issue #2

Attachments

INTRODUCTION

In Malakal, the Community Engagement correspondents have identified cash assistance as a primary concern for returnees, based on feedback collected at the Transit Center in Bullukat. The respondents, aged between 20 and 60 years, voiced their concerns, complaints, suggestions, appreciation, and requests for improved humanitarian aid. This bulletin captures their feedback to ensure that the relevant humanitarian agencies can respond effectively. The shared feedback aims to address these concerns promptly, utilizing various communication methods such as real-time responses, pre-recorded or live radio broadcasts, and the innovative Boda Boda Talk Talk (BBTT) methodology. This approach ensures that the voices of the returnees are heard and their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. The primary focus is to improve the two-way communication between the humanitarian and the affected populations and ensure that the feedback mechanisms adapt to the ever-changing circumstances.
