OVERVIEW
There is a remarkable departure from the tone of feedback that has been collected in the last three months. Previously, most of the feedback had complaints, concerns, and shades of displeasure towards humanitarian agencies and the gaps in service delivery. A collective approach to problem-solving is gradually being adopted by different stakeholders to alleviate the suffering the affected populations are facing. This has not come by sheer luck or accident. It is a gradual and deliberate process that is aligned with adoptive programming by the humanitarian fraternity. Changes are being effected in response to concerns raised by the communities where aid agencies are operating.
The Radio Community (TRC) is continually engaging all stakeholders, ensuring that they respond to the immediate needs and concerns of the refugee and host communities in Aweil. The highest amount of feedback collected is on food assistance with most of the respondents expressing gratitude for the improvement in service delivery. Appreciation for improvement and escalation of awareness messages among the population has increased and is featured prominently. This can be attributed to the recent radio distribution conducted by TRC in collaboration with WFP and other partners. Complaints and concerns still linger especially among the new arrivals who are yet to familiarize themselves with the humanitarian infrastructure in Wedweil, Aweil.
