WASH chief promises to supply water to troubled Jonglei

The head of Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) in South Sudan, Ken Maskall, pledged to supply water to affected areas of Jonglei State.

Maskall said that UNICEF in partnership with the UN and State government are to support children in the affected areas of the State by providing clean water, nutrition and basic education.

He said that insecurity, infrastructure and lack of communication are hindering their operations in Jonglei State.

Meanwhile, youth leaders from both the Murle and Lou Nuer of Pibor and Akobo counties respectively in Jonglei State have called for peace and disarmament in their counties.
