The United States Aid for International Development (USAID) said on Thursday that it will rehabilitate the Yei/Morobo road. This comes after the USAID met with the Commissioner of the Yei River County Commissioner, Elia Wai Wai.
An Engineer at USAID, Richard Nyarsuk, said that the project is aimed at connecting the feeder roads for farmers to easily access the markets for agricultural products.
Nyarsuk said that the roads will also improve the livelihoods of local farmers.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner Elia Wai Wai urged the USAID to also rehabilitate the Yei-Lasu road.
The Commissioner said that Yei people are farmers, but bad roads are hindering their access to the main markets.
