• Tensions mount in Jonglei’s Pibor County as fighting between rebel militia and the South Sudan army continued in Likuangole and spread to Gumuruk.

• At least 245,000 people have been affected by seasonal flooding across the country. Humanitarian organizations continued to provide relief including emergency shelter, household items and hygiene assistance to people in need.

• Humanitarian partners worked to curb an outbreak of Hepatitis E which has caused the death of 19 people to date in refugee sites in Upper Nile State.
