Highlights:

• A framework agreement was initialed by South Sudan and Sudan in Addis Ababa ensuring free movement and residence of their nationals in one another’s territory. An agreement was also initialed on the demarcation of the common boundary.

• Multiple inter-communal attacks were carried out simultaneously on cattle camps in areas bordering South Sudan and Ethiopia.

• The national army signed an agreement with the United Nations on 12 March to remove children from its ranks.
