Highlights:

  • Following continued inter-communal violence in Jonglei State, humanitarian partners doubled the estimated number of affected people to 120,000, many of whom require life-saving assistance.

  • Continued inter-communal attacks were reported in Duk, Nyirol and Akobo counties in Jonglei, with insecurity restricting humanitarian assessment of those in need.

  • Humanitarian assistance continues to over 78,000 refugees in Upper Nile and Unity states, displaced by ongoing fighting in Sudan’s Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile states.
