Situation overview

• Humanitarian assessments carried out from 8-9 September in two new locations within Jonglei’s Pibor County estimate that tens of thousands more people may be in need of assistance in Moloktoch and Ngathibonga areas.

• Partners continued to respond to the needs of people affected by armed hostilities and inter-communal violence in Dorein, Gumuruk and Labrab. Partners commenced distribution of the second round of food rations on 12 September.

• Aid agencies responded to the needs of 32,000 people affected by fl oods in six states, by providing food, household items and medical assistance.
