Situation overview

• The Government of South Sudan declared on 25 October that the country is in fact free of polio after recent tests revealed an error during initial testing.

• In Rumbek North County, Lakes State, partners assessed 3,100 families affected by flooding as being in need of assistance. Humanitarians have reached more than 117,000 of nearly 200,000 flood-affected people across the country.

• Over 6,000 people have travelled to the Abyei area since September. Partners are providing assistance in transit sites in Abyei town, Agok and Awolnohm.
