Situation overview

Aid agencies began the response to vulnerable communities in newly accessible areas in Pibor County, Jonglei State. Nearly 2,950 households were registered for assistance in Dorein. The medical response to casualties from inter-communal clashes in Jonglei also continued, amidst reports of further clashes with possible humanitarian consequences in Akobo and Uror counties.

Elsewhere in the country, humanitarian activities proceeded according to plan. Nearly 11,000 children out of a targeted 27,000 were vaccinated against measles in Unity State. The response to 26,000 displaced people in Northern Bahr el Ghazal continued and nearly 1,000 returnees arrived from Renk in Upper Nile to Juba by barge.
