HIGHLIGHTS

  • A new “air bridge” has accelerated the delivery of critical, life-saving aid to the growing numbers of Sudanese refugees in Upper Nile State.

  • A humanitarian protection team assessed the intentions of people returning to Abyei town, as displaced people come to see if security and services are sufficient for a permanent return home.

  • Briefings to the UN Security Council on 15 June raised concerns that Sudan and South Sudan were falling behind schedule in implementing an African Union peace roadmap.
