South Sudan's army claims airstrikes have killed 40 people in Raja County of Western Barh El Ghazal State since December 26th.
The Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) spokesperson Philip Auger claimed the airstrikes are being carried out by the Sudan Armed forces (SAF).
Raja county commissioner Mr. Rizig Dominic on Friday told Radio Miraya that 17 of the 40 people killed were SPLA soldiers.
He added that two people were also seriously wounded from the three aerial attacks that started from the 26th of December.
Auger condemned the bombings in Raja, saying such killing of civil populations is against humanitarian principle.
However, the spokesperson for the Sudan Armed Forces has denied the allegation that air strikes were carried out in South Sudan's territory.
